A digital home for a whole community, in ten languages.

The Kumbhkar Prajapati samaj is a community of potter families with roots in Rajasthan. Nexvia built its website and phone app: family registration with a family tree, a member directory, blood donors, matrimony, businesses and jobs, the samaj's accounts, temples and parganas, a daily panchang, and the Bhagavad Gita and Narad Puran explained in easy Hindi. It works in ten Indian languages, and a member's phone number is shown only when they agree.

How a family joins

One registration, then everything opens.

Anyone can read the public pages: history, temples, calendar, scripture. A family's own information stays inside, visible only to approved families, and only with the consent of the person it belongs to.

What we built

Twelve things the samaj uses.

01 · families

Family register and family tree

A family registers once with father, mother and spouse, and its tree builds itself. Linking two families' trees needs their consent.

02 · directory

Member directory

Open only to approved families. A phone number appears only when its owner has agreed to share it.

03 · blood

Blood donation board

Post a need and find donors by place and PIN code; donors reply yes or no.

04 · matrimony

वर-वधू matrimony

Profiles carry both the father's and the mother's gotra, so families can filter on both sides.

05 · work

Businesses, professions and jobs

A directory of members' businesses and professions, with a place for jobs.

06 · calendar

Panchang and calendar

Today's tithi, sunrise, festivals and fasts, with times for the visitor's own location.

07 · scripture

Gita and Narad Puran in easy Hindi

All 701 shlokas and 207 chapters, each with a simple translation, a one-line gist and the meaning.

08 · places

Temples, parganas and tehsils

The samaj's temples, dharamshalas, hostels and community halls, its parganas and tehsils, and the pandits at pilgrimage towns.

09 · accounts

A live balance sheet

The samaj's income and expenses, open to signed-in members.

10 · people

Achievers and committees

Educationists, student achievers and social entrepreneurs of the samaj, and every committee with its office-bearers.

11 · video

Admin video studio

Admins make festival and deity videos with Google's AI, right from the admin page.

12 · feedback

Suggestions on every page

A suggestions button on every screen; each request lands on a tracked board and gets an answer.

What we learned

Four rules the samaj taught us.

01

A faith photo is never cropped

Temple and deity pictures are always shown whole, never trimmed and never reused as a blurred background. It is a matter of faith, not layout.

02

Consent before contact

Members wanted a directory, not a phone book for strangers. A number appears only when the person it belongs to agrees.

03

Use the government's own place list

An early place list knew only a few districts, so members from Sirohi or Pali could not find their village. The form now uses the official list of 6.7 lakh villages and towns, and a PIN code finds the right tehsil.

04

Write for the elders first

Hindi first, a larger-text setting, and scripture explained in plain words rather than printed as it is.

Run a samaj, trust or association? Let's talk.

We build community platforms with members, families, events and donations, in your languages, on the web and on phones.
